Prasidh Krishna makes a comeback after recovering from injury

Hardik Pandya, who led the team in the Caribbean, has been rested for the upcoming Ireland tour, and in his absence, Jasprit Bumrah has been given the command. Bumrah will be making his much-anticipated return after an injury hiatus of almost a year. All eyes would be on him as he is expected to play a key role for India in the forthcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023.

Along with Bumrah, another pacer who has been included in the squad after a long injury layoff is Prasidh Krishna. Ahead of the series, the pacer played a match in the Maharaja Trophy. Representing Mysore Warriors, the player bowled a fiery spell and took one wicket as well.

Krishna clean bowled Luvnith Sisodia in the Mysore Warriors vs. Hubli Tigers match, and thereby made a spectacular comeback. It comes as a major boost for Team India, as the team has struggled to find the wicket-taking options lately. Thus, it would be intriguing to see how he fares in the international circuit after a long time.

Prasidh Krishna can emerge as an option

Prasidh Krishna is known for his express pace and if he succeeds in delivering the goods in the Ireland series, then he could emerge as an option for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. However, it would be too early to speculate, at this juncture, the premier motive of Krishna would be to get into the playing XI against Ireland.
