Bad news for India! Rohit Sharma may miss two Tests against Australia in Border-Gavaskar Trophy

The Indian team is set to play a five-Test series in Australia, starting on November 22 in Perth, and it's possible that Rohit will miss two games.

Rohit Sharma might miss first or second Test match against Australia during upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy series due to personal reasons. Although BCCI has t confirmed news, reports suggest that Rohit has communicated his situation to board.

Rohit Sharma may miss two matches in Australia series

Indian team is set to play a five-Test series in Australia, starting on vember 22 in Perth, and it's possible that Rohit will miss first or second game in elaide from December 6-10. However, if his personal issue is resolved before series begins, he might play all five Tests. Rohit recently played two home Tests against Banglesh and is scheduled to play a three-Test series against New Zealand starting October 16.

In case Rohit misses a Test match in Australia, in-form Abhimanyu Easwaran is likely to be his cover although Shubman Gill and KL Rahul are also players with eugh experience in opening slot. Easwaran will also be in Australia with India A team which he is supposed to le.

"I wouldn't look at m as youngsters anymore. Yes, y are youngsters in terms of and amount of cricket y have played. But, I think overall, mentally and in ir development as a cricketer, I think y have leership qualities that are required. You don't need to have a vice-captain that should be designated," Nayar h stated when asked about red-ball vice-captaincy.

"I think overall, thought process of se youngsters is of a senior player. It's of someone who has played a lot of cricket."
