Bangladesh cricket strike: Players' new demand set to shake-up BCB
Bangladesh cricket strike took the cricketing world by storm as players put in an 11-point demand on Monday which would see a radical shake-up in BCB.

Banglesh cricket has been in news for quite a while as national cricketers decided to boycott ir tour to India following ir anuncement of an 11-point demand on Monday. While it looked like issue was finally going to settle, cricketers ded two more points to ir list of demands, which would see a rical shake-up in Banglesh Cricket Board (BCB).

Banglesh cricket strike: What players demanded
During a press conference, Barrister Mustafizur Rahman Khan who spoke on cricketers’ behalf said that in dition to original 11 demands, cricketers wanted a revenue-sharing model similar to what Australian cricketers negotiated through Australian Cricketers Association (ACA) and also that women cricketers be afforded same provisions where ‘practically and commercially viable.

According to spokesperson, Australia cricketers get a share of revenue from Cricket Australia (CA) alongside ir regular salary and Banglesh players also want a similar system, which will allow m to get a share from board’s revenue after negotiations each year.

Banglesh cricket strike: new points ded to demand
1) Going forward, re should be transparency and accountability of income and expenditure and maintenance of accounts in Bangleshi cricket in interests of all its stakeholders. Arrangements will have to be me where professional cricketers are given a fair share of revenue generated by BCB through commercial exploitation of cricket and its associated interests, which, after all, is me possible through toil and performance of professional cricketers. A cricketers’ welfare, provident and compensation fund and insurance scheme has to be established and ministered, which will ensure welfare of cricketers who have fallen on hard times, provide pensions to retired cricketers and compensation to injured cricketers on fulfilment of objectively defined and ministered criteria.

2) To extent practical and commercially feasible, similar provisions as above will have to be me for female cricketers, with ultimate objective of attaining parity as early as possible.
Banglesh cricket strike: Cricketers call off strike
On Wednesday, October 23, Banglesh players called off ir strike after y mentioned that most of ir demands were met by authorities which include a pay hike for domestic first-class players. Banglesh's star all-rounder and skipper of ir Test and T20I sides Shakib Al Hasan went on to say that talk was successful.

If reports are to be believed n Shakib has said that players' demands have been heard by Banglesh Cricket Board (BCB) President and Directors and y have also been assured that concerned authorities will meet m as soon as possible. veteran cricketer n ded that it was on basis of this assurance from BCB that ir first-class players will start playing from Saturday while ir national team players will join camp (for India tour) from October 25.
