With less than two weeks remaining at the start of the Asia Cup 2023, all the Asian sides are giving a final touch to their preparation. In a bid to deliver their best, players often perspire in the gym to reach their physical peak. As cricketers have started to remain busy throughout the year, therefore, a gym routine has become a popular ask. While the measures to attain physical fitness are popular but when it comes to mental aptness, things often happen behind the closet. However, in what could be taken as a bizarre way to achieve mental solidarity, a Bangladesh player took a fiery walk.

Bangladesh opener walks on fire as a part of mind straining

Mohammad Naim Sheikh, the star opener for Bangladesh, has taken a 'fiery' route, to put it mildly. As a part of his mind-training session, Sheikh can be seen walking on fire in a video that is going viral on social media. Here's the video of it.

Asia Cup 2023 to take place under hybrid model

Following Jay Shah's announcement that India will not travel to Pakistan for the continental cup, the competition structure has been modified as per a hybrid model. On August 30, Pakistan and Nepal will kick off the competition in Multan, Pakistan. On September 2, the eagerly anticipated match between India and Pakistan will take place in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Team India's second group stage match will take place against Nepal on September 4 at the same location.

Three group stage matches and one Super Four stage match will be played in Pakistan. The remainder of the competition will take place in Sri Lanka. The final will be held in Colombo on September 17. Top two teams from Super Four stage will advance to the final.
