BBL 2021: Perth Scorchers 'Challenger' moved to Canberra amid lockdown
The Big Bash League match was originally supposed to be hosted by the Perth Scorchers after they were defeated in The Qualifier on Saturday night.

After Western Australian Government announced a five-day lockdown in Perth amid Coronavirus situation, Cricket Australia (CA) announced that Thursday's Challenger match in Big Bash League (BBL), scheduled to be held at Optus Stium would now be shifted to Manuka Oval.
match was originally supposed to be hosted by Perth Scorchers after y were defeated in Qualifier on Saturday night, however, as per CA, y would now face winner of ongoing 'Knockout' match between Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat as y continue to remain in Canberra.

While speaking on development, Cricket Australia's He of Big Bash Leagues, Alistair Dobson said, " League would like to extend its best wishes to all KFC BBL fans in Perth, particularly those Scorchers fans who were hoping to see ir team in action this Thursday, following announcement of a hard lockdown by WA Government."

ongoing BBL 2021 season which premiered on December 10 will end at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on February 6. winner of match between Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat will take on loser of qualifier between Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers in Challenger Final on February 4.
