BCCI allows families of Indian players during hard quarantine to 'help their well-being'

Indian cricketers on Thursday cleared ir first round of RT-PCR tests and will be undergoing two more rounds before starting training from February 2 for upcoming Test series against England. first of four-Test matches will be played at MA Chidambaram Stium in Chennai on February 5.  entire Indian contingent has alrey arrived in city and both teams are staying at Leela Palace hotel.

'SOP same as IPL bio-bubble'

“ SOP is same as IPL bio-bubble during hard quarantine period. We have h one RT-PCR test done alrey and we would be doing two more before being cleared to train. Right w, players will have to be confined to ir rooms,” a senior BCCI official told PTI on condition of anymity.

At same time, in a welcome move, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allowed players to be accompanied by ir families as it “could be extremely lonely” during hard quarantine phase.

“ players have all come back after a grueling tour. Hard quarantine can be extremely difficult and it would only help ir well-being that wives and children are around which would help m remain in a good he,” source said.

India Vs England: Test series
