BCCI donates Rs 51 crores to PM-CARES Fund, confirms the same on social media

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) donated a sum of Rs. 51 crores to PM-CARES Fund as they also confirmed the same om social media as well.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has contributed a sum of Rs. 51 Crores to  PM-CARES Fund which is an initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in order to combat dely COVID-19 which has spre its tentacles all over world. 

Meanwhile, former Indian skipper and current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has pledged to distribute rice worth Rs 50 lakh while Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar (Rs. 50 lakh each) and Suresh Raina (Rs. 52 lakh) have come forward to lend a helping hand during this need of hour.

Indian Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane on Sunday pledged to donate a sum of Rs. 10 lakh.

'As pledged,' tweets BCCI

Taking to micro-blogging site, it was anunced by national cricket board that y have me necessary contribution from ir end and also attached a screenshot of Payment Order reference and Account Statement for same. BCCI also tagged cricket board's Secretary Jay Shah, President as well as former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, and Treasurer Arun Dhumal.

Even cricket fans came forward and hailed BCCI after y came forward for a ble cause.

IPL postponed: When will IPL 2020 start?

With IPL postponed,  tournament has w been moved from March 29 to April 15. However, looking at current situation, fate of IPL 2020 still hangs in balance. While speaking to an Indian news ncy, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly recently said that fate of IPL 2020 remains undecided. He said that he has answer to wher tournament will take place this year.  former India captain ruled out possibility of scheduling IPL 2020 3-4 months later considering prevailing situation around globe.
