BCCI disappointed with Virat Kohli for publicly criticizing New Zealand tour schedule

A BCCI official has hit back at Virat Kohli saying that the Indian captain had all the rights to voice his concerns but not in public. Read to know more.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who has a lot of workload on him, recently came out and complained about India's tight schedule. Virat Kohli ahead of first T20I against New Zealand said that schedule was becoming extremely tight with every passing day, so much so that y might have to land aircraft straight in stadium. He also added that difference in time zones also adds to problem. Because it takes time for players to adjust to such changes.

w, a BCCI official has hit back at Virat Kohli saying that Indian captain had all right to voice his concerns in public domain but should have communicated any of issues that he had to  board first. anymous official told a leading Indian media daily that all plans were made keeping in mind best interests of players. He cited example of spacing out schedule as much as y could post World Cup when y played at home and added that players were also given a break during auspicious festival of Diwali.

He also suggested that all of  officials were on Kohli's speed dial. So, he should make sure to communicate every issue to board’s secretary Jay Shah before telling media.

India vs New Zealand: India will look to continue winning streak

After upcoming T20I series, both teams will clash in a three-match ODI series between February 5 and February 11. last time India and New Zealand contested an ODI was semi-final of 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. Virat Kohli and co. lost that kckout encounter by 18 runs and crashed out of tournament. ODIs will n be followed by two Test matches, which will also form a part of ongoing inaugural ICC World Test Championship.
