BCCI furious after rumours of PCB hosting Asia Cup at the expense of IPL spread: Reports
BCCI has raised a very strong objection over false reports about Asia Cup and has cleared that no decision has been taken regarding the fate of the tournament.

In recent days, several reports have emerged stating that Asia Cup 2020 will be played in Sri Lanka or United Arab Emirates (UAE). reports also stated that Pakistan and Sri Lanka have mutually agreed to swap hosting rights for this edition. However, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have expressed ir surprise and anger over reports.

BCCI raises strong objection over hosting of Asia Cup
reports had emerged after an ACC (Asian Cricket Council) meeting last week. After meeting, SLC chief Shammi Silva had, in fact, confirmed that his board have been talks with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for arranging tournament. Silva had said that PCB has already agreed to our hosting this edition due to present world situation. He added that y had an online ACC meeting and y basically gave m green light to host tournament

While speaking to Times of India, sources from board said that y have idea where such reports are coming from and even y're surprised at how fast se reports travel. BCCI is clear that decision was taken at ACC meeting. source added that BCCI is tired of giving out se clarifications. Earlier it was about travelling to Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka and BCCI had to deny it with an official statement and w this.

source also made it apparent that IPL 2020 won’t be truncated because of Asia Cup. 2020 edition of Asia Cup is supposed to be played in a T20 format. source said that one thing that's clear is that re won’t be a shortened IPL just to host an Asia Cup. source also said that those thinking on such lines are clearly t speaking in India’s interests and BCCI will t accept it.
