BCCI official roasts PCB CEO for seeking 'visa assurances' from ICC for T20 World Cup 2021
A BCCI official has slammed an 'ignorant' PCB after they approached the ICC over assurances for player visas ahead of the 2021 T20 World Cup.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sought help of International Cricket Council (ICC) to seek assurances from Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) over player visas for next year's T20 World Cup. India are scheduled to host 2021 T20 World Cup, and PCB CEO Wasim Khan has issued a January 2021 ultimatum for Sourav Ganguly-led board to resolve issue. strained political relations between countries could cause problems for cricketers travelling to country, but a BCCI official believes PCB's insecurity stems from ir igrance of situation.

BCCI official slams 'igrant' PCB over Visa assurances demand
In a press conference earlier this week, PCB CEO Wasim Khan confirmed that board h sought assurances over visas for ir players and staff and ICC are currently looking into case. Khan confirmed that BCCI verbally gave a confirmation that re will be special barrices in place despite tense diplomatic relations between countries. An ICC official h also me it clear that all teams participating World Cup will get ir visas, as part of Host Agreement for all ICC events.

Speaking to ANI, official said that Government of India h clarified in a letter to International Olympics Committee (IOC) that athlete will be denied a visa participating in an international event hosted in country.

Aiming a jibe at his counterparts, BCCI official said that unless Wasim Khan was privy to a future course of action to be taken by Pakistan that would deteriorate circumstances drastically, it remains a n-issue. Khan also ruled out possibility of a bilateral series between India and Pakistan due to tense relations between two counties. PCB CEO ded that re was score for a series in foreseeable future and an India-Pakistan series will t be a part of Futures Tours Programme (FTP) that starts in 2023.
