BCCI seeks Shashank Manohar's ouster as President of the ICC

BCCI: N Srinivasan, Niranjan Shah were kept away from the general meeting. Tamil Nadu, Haryana, and Maharashtra cricket's representatives were also kept away

re has been a slew of problems in country's cricketing structure that need to be dealt with but, newly-elected BCCI authorities are adamant on regaining ir lost position at International Cricket Council (ICC). This does t mean to only stand in way of Shashank Mahar’s new governance model, but also to ensure his conclusion as ICC chairman next year.

As former India captain Sourav Ganguly took over as new BCCI president with his administrators, re were a few unusual incidents. For general body meeting, seniors N Srinivasan, Niranjan Shah were reportedly kept away from meeting. CoA chief Vid Rai was presiding over general body meeting and both of m don't qualify as per new constitution so it would have caused an issue. Ganguly realised that and he pointed it out to CK Khanna who is acting president until Wednesday. Tamil Nadu, Haryana, and Maharashtra cricket association's representatives were also kept away since se units were in objection.

BCCI to evaluate all decisions taken during last three years

According to various reports, as soon as general meeting was done with re was ar meeting which was attended by everybody, including Srinivasan and Shah. A number of important issues were discussed in this meeting. passing of accounts had been delayed by a month. report suggests that administrators will evaluate all decisions taken during  last three years which includes decisions with respect to cricket operations.

BCCI is er to have ir representative in ICC committee formed by Shashank Mahar which involves Cricket Australia chairman Earl Eddings, Greg Barclay (NZ), Tony Brian (Scotland), Ehsan Mani (Pakistan), Chris Nenzani (SA) and Ricky Skerritt (WI) to suggest a new governance model. ICC reportedly wants this model to begin as soon as possible and plans to include more women in administration. BCCI has been completely opposing this model of governance as it wants to establish its authority. BCCI is trying to oppose Mahar's extension as y believe it can cause model to shelve.

selectors will meet on Thursday to select squad for T20I and Test series against Bangladesh which starts from vember 3. Virat Kohli is likely to be rested so team will be led by Rohit Sharma.
