BCCI Send A Stern And Final Reply To PCB, Clarify Their Stand On Champions Trophy 2025

In a significant development, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has informed International Cricket Council (ICC) that Indian cricket team will t travel to Pakistan to participate in 2025 Champions Trophy . This decision comes after Indian government vised BCCI against sending team to Pakistan.

Champions Trophy is scheduled to take place in Pakistan from February 19 to March 9, 2025, and was expected to feature eight teams competing at three venues in country. However, with India's withdrawal w looking inevitable, ICC and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will need to activate a contingency plan to ensure tournament goes ahe smoothly.
According to sources, a hybrid model is likely to be opted, where teams will shuttle between Pakistan and a second venue, potentially in United Arab Emirates (UAE). This will ensure that all teams participate in tournament while also respecting India's concerns about traveling to Pakistan.

This development is a significant blow to PCB, which h been hoping to host a major ICC tournament in Pakistan for first time since 1996 Cricket World Cup , which it jointly hosted with India. International teams have t been travelling to Pakistan since 2008 when an attcked on Sri Lanka team bust took place.
