BCCI to go ahead with IPL preparations after being 'fed up' of ICC's delay on T20 WC call
The BCCI is planning to go ahead with the preparations of the now-postponed IPL 2020 season, irrespective of ICC's final take on the T20 World Cup 2020.

ongoing coronavirus pandemic forced Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly to indefinitely postpone much-awaited Indian Premier League 2020 (IPL 2020) season. Several recent reports w indicate that board is contemplating to organise IPL 2020 between September and vember later this year, should T20 World Cup in Australia get shifted to a later date. However, BCCI can only make ir stance clear on IPL 2020 rescheduling once International Cricket Council (ICC) anunces exact fate of showpiece event.

BCCI done playing waiting game with ICC, to go ahead with IPL 2020 preparations
With ICC’s repeated delay to take a call on fate of T20 World Cup, BCCI is w reportedly ‘fed up’ of apex body and are planning to go ahead with preparations of IPL 2020 season. According to a report drawn by Times of India, BCCI will t be waiting for ICC anymore. BCCI Treasurer Arun Dhumal said that in spite of global pandemic and cricket shutdown, board needs to ensure that y are prepared for any eventuality. He added that it is w time for BCCI to start planning ir cricketing year ahead.
While speaking about BCCI’s plan for IPL 2020, Dhumal cited examples of or upcoming confirmed sporting events like NBA and Australia’s Domestic Rugby. As countries make a gradual return to mainstream sports, Arun Dhumal said that BCCI is also making contingency plans of IPL 2020 for a September launch date.

Shashank Mahar quits ICC: Stakeholders slam apex body for delay
BCCI has already lost a lot of time because of delay in certain anuncements. Several stakeholders involved with board have confirmed that y cant wait for BCCI any longer for ir decision. Multiple stakeholders have said that y have conducted several meetings with BCCI regarding IPL 2020, but thing has come out of a single meeting. One of stakeholders even asked that “What’s ICC waiting for w?”, by citing example of ir chairman Shashank Mahar quitting from his position earlier this month.
