Rishabh Pant Debunks Fake News

Rishabh Pant , who made a heroic return to international and IPL cricket in 2024, is one of the most sought-after names in the cash-rich league. Pant is the first-choice skipper of Delhi Capitals and would probably be retained by the DC ahead of the IPL 2025 auctions, which will be held later in the year. While Pant is the poster boy of Delhi Capitals and the mainstay in the batting line-up, yet the rumour mill is rife with his transfer assertions. While Rishabh Pant's future is an intriguing subject to toss in the conversation between cricket lovers but whether he will move from DC in the next season is still anybody's guess.

Recognising the trend, a user on social media proliferated a lie stating that Rishabh Pant approached RCB's management this week and enquired about the potential vacant captaincy position. The claimer also disseminated that Pant's application was rejected by management and that Virat Kohli does not want to share the dressing facility with him owing to his antics.

The post came to the notice of Rishabh Pant himself who declared it to be  "fake news" and left, who left a long note urging social media users to stop spreading fake news. Here's what he wrote:

"Fake news. Why do you guys spread so much fake news on social media. Be sensible guys so bad. Don’t create untrustworthy environment for no reason. It’s not the first time and won’t be last but I had to put this out. Please always re-check with your so-called sources. Every day it’s becoming worst. Rest it’s up to you guys. It wasn’t just for you it’s for a lot for people who is spreading misinformation. Tc"
