'Beating India is Humongous,': Dinesh Karthik Downplays Bangladesh's Prospects vs India in 2 Tests
Dinesh Karthik expresses doubts over Bangladesh's ability to compete against India in a two-match test series, emphasizing the challenge of defeating India.
Starting at 9:30 AM, India goes head-to-head with Bangladesh in the much awaited match-up at the venerable MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from September 19 to 23. Under the guidance of Najmul Hossain Shanto, Bangladesh will depend on the abilities of seasoned players like Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan; led by the energetic Rohit Sharma , the Indian side consists of stalwarts like Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant .
Dinesh Karthik believes Bangladesh will not be able to trouble the star-studded Indian Cricket Team
According to Dinesh Karthik , it is rather difficult to win against India on their own territory. Starting on September 19, India is about to start their Test season with a two-match series against Bangladesh .
India has never hosted Bangladesh for a Test series before this one, after the historic Pink Ball Test in November 2019. Fresh from an amazing 2-0 series victory over Pakistan , Bangladesh will start the series somewhat confidently. Still, playing against India at home is supposed to be a difficult challenge. Under the direction of Najmul Hossain Shanto, Bangladesh will be eager to show their competitive edge on a worldwide scene even against a strong Indian squad. Speaking to CricBuzz, Dinesh Karthik said:
"I personally don't think that Bangladesh will give India a tough time. Beating India in India is a humongous task, and although Bangladesh has played well in Pakistan , I don't believe they'll trouble India much,"
