England are not only the inventors of cricket but in the past few years have reinvented the game like nobody else. Be it Morgan's stint that led the three lions to their first ODI World Cup or be it Ben Stokes and McCullum's outrageous methods to revive Test cricket and to play it in an aggressive way, England certainly cook up strange formulas to make the game interesting.
Much to England's cricket, in recent times Test cricket becomes interesting when the three lions play. Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum have breathed life in a format that was considered dying a slow and a painful death. Prior to Stokes' stint, Joe Root was the Test captain of England and failed to retain the back-to-back. Once at home and the other at Australia. The down under Ashes series that was played in 2021-22 saw England playing the worst series in their Test cricket history. The Kangaroos beat the three lions by 4-0 and it was one way traffic at most of the times. That is when England realized that they needed to revamp their whit ball game.

Ben Stokes, ahead of a fully packed English summer has now stepped into the spotlight and said that people should consider themselves lucky to see the tale of 'Bazball' unfold. 'We will live forever in the memory of people who were lucky enough to witness us play cricket', said Ben Stokes as quoted by Fox Cricket. Later Stokes retweeted his own quote on his official X handle and took a jibe at arch-rivals Australia.
'Said this to the team who had watched it rain for 2 days when we had our foot on your throats, just tried to cheer up the disappointment tbh, but anyways rent free and all that', retweeted Stokes om his X account.
Here's how netizens reacted:
Bazball and their aggressive style of play came into limelight after they defeated New Zealand and India in their own home conditions, they later went on to outplay Babar Azam's Pakistan in their home conditions too. But contrary to all of it, Stokes' England faced a stern test on trickier spin friendly Indian tracks and this is one of the factors that prove that Bazball's impact might not be the same in away conditions
