Big Bash League fixtures: new playoffs system

Big Bash is set to adopt a playoff structure, which will decide finalists of league. top five teams on points table will be qualifying for playoffs and first and second-team will get two chances to make final. Here is structure.

  • Eliminator - Fourth Place vs. Fifth Place - January 30
  • Qualifier - First Place vs. Second Place - January 31
  • Kck-Out - Third Place vs. Winner of Eliminator - February 1
  • Challenger - Winner of Kck-Out vs. Loser of Qualifier - February 6
  • Final - Winner of Qualifier vs. Winner of Challenger - February 8

first match of Big Bash will happen on December 17 at Gabba. Brisbane Heat is set to take on Sydney Thunder at 1:40 PM IST. Heat is considered as one of favourites to win this year.
