The dynamics in England cricket has been changing constantly. There has been stark difference in their red ball and white ball fortunes. In the last two years, the English Test team reinvented itself and scaled new heights in the red ball format, but as far as their fortune in the white ball game goes, they have been pretty substandard.
England, surprisingly were knocked out from the group stage of the 2023 ODI World Cup and matters worsened for them in the T20 World Cup. They looked completely off colour in their semis against India and failed to chase down 171 odd runs. There is a need of an overhaul in the English white-ball team, but it seems that all is not well in the dressing room

Big 'FALLOUT' Between Jos Buttler And Andrew Flintoff: Reports
Jos Buttler seemed very dejected after India knocked England out of the T20 World Cup. Buttler was already feeling the pressure after his team's disappointing exit from the ODI World Cup last year, but it is now being reported that he did not have a good working relationship with Andrew Flintoff. As per a report published in England's Telegraph, Flintoff, England's 2005 Ashes hero failed to 'gel' with white-ball skipper Buttler.

Flintoff reportedly will discontinue from his coaching role in the national team's white-ball setup and stand-in head coach Marcus Trescothick might be given the chance to oversee the white-ball team with Buttler as the leader. The former English all-rounder will not be a part of England's white-ball dressing room in the Australia series. The Aussies will tour England for three T20Is and five ODIs. Flintoff might go ahead and take on bigger roles with 'The Hundred' franchise Northern Superchargers.

It is being said that, despite their best efforts, Buttler and Flintoff failed to strike the right chord and hence the former all-rounder wants to move out of the white-ball setup. Former English opener Marcus Trescothick enjoys a great working relationship with Jos Buttler and hence he is the next in line to take up the coaching role of England's white-ball side.
