Bangladesh national team's head coach, Chandika Hathurusingha, has been suspended by the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

As they return home for their home schedule, the BCB has made a critical call and has suspended their head coach, Chandika Hathurusingha.

BCB Suspend Team Head Coach Chandika Hathurusingha Over Disciplinary Grounds
Bangladesh national cricket team's head coach, Chandika Hathurusingha, has been suspended by the Bangladesh Cricket Board from his position. The suspension has been made under disciplinary grounds for 48 hours and has been made just few days prior to the home test series against South Africa. As per reports, the Sri Lankan has allegedly slapped a Bangladeshi player during the ODI World Cup in 2023, and the BCB investigated the claims. The reports also add that Hathurusingha will be terminated after serving the suspension
As per ESPNcricinfo, Trinidadian cricket coach Phil Simmons has been appointed on an interim basis as Hathurusingha's replacement. He will be a part of the squad until the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025.

Hathurusinghe had returned to the side for his second stint last February, and it ignited diverse reactions in the camp. One of the most notable achievements under Chandika's run would be when Bangladesh defeated Pakistan 2-0 in away conditions to clinch a historic series win. But right before making the push for the upcoming Champions Trophy in 2025, the BCB decided to part ways with the Sri Lankan Cricket Coach
The move is certainly starting as it has been made right after the team returns to Bangladesh following an underwhelming run against India. The Bangla Tigers cleanly lost to the Men in Blue in the two-match Test series as well as the three-match T20I series.
