The couple made the announcement that they are expecting a baby in the upcoming year. KL and Athiya got married in January 2023, and after over a year, they announce the huge news of that they are going to become parents. KL Rahul & Athiya Shetty Announce That They Are Expecting A Baby Soon

Team India cricketer KL Rahul and his wife Athiya Shetty have revealed that they are expecting their first child. The couple announced the revelation on social media, with Suniel Shetty's daughter and KL posting the special news, saying "our beautiful blessing is coming soon."

As soon as they announced the news, the couple was flooded with congratulatory messages from their fans, celebrities from the realm of Bollywood and Cricket, as well as people who are close to them. 

The merry development came to light as KL Rahul fights for a spot in the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy series. The wicketkeeper-batter is currently in action for India A as they face off against Australia A in unofficial Test matches before the coveted series begin.

KL Rahul hasn't made a giant splash in the second unofficial test after scoring just 10 and four in India's A's respective innings. Rahul was also let go of the Lucknow Super Giants during the IPL 2025 retentions, and he is expected to be a hot commodity among the pool of players in the auction. 

As the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Series is set to begin, KL Rahul could find a spot in the team against Australia, with the fans eager to see him make a huge splash of runs in the series where the Men in Blue will be defending the title against the reigning WTC Champions, Australia.
