IND vs AUS 1st Test: The first Test of the highly-anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy is being played at the Optus Stadium, Perth. This series holds a great importance as far as the ongoing cycle of the World Test Championship (WTC) is concerned. Coincidentally, both India and Australia are the top two teams of the ongoing WTC cycle and the race to play the finals will definitely heat up. Australia, the hosts of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy were right on the money from the very first ball of the series.
India and batting collapses are an age old problem that refuses to die down any time soon. The same happened in the opening Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy too where the Aussies reduced India to six wickets before they hit the 100 run mark. Early wickets brought Rishabh Pant out in the middle and he straightaway demonstrated great intent and played a knock of 37 off 78 deliveries.
Nathan Lyon and Rishabh Pant's Funny Stump Mic Chatter
Last month Delhi Capitals shocked everybody by releasing their skipper Rishabh Pant ahead of the IPL Mega Auctions. recently, Pant too came out and addressed the situation. Pant tweeted and clearly said that his Delhi Capitals snub was nowhere related to monetary issues. Rishabh Pant has Nathan Lyon have shared some iconic verbal battles over the years.
In a funny stump mic chatter between the two cricketers, Lyon asked Pant about which franchise was he going to in the IPL auctions. The young wicketkeeper-batsman had a pretty funny response to it and said that he had no idea about it.
