Former champions Chennai came forward and hailed efforts of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for conducting recently-concluded Dream11 IPL 2020 against all odds amid COVID-19 outbreak. 13th edition of cash-rich event was held in United Arab Emirates (UAE) across three venues- Dubai, Abu Dhabi & Sharjah respectively.
'Big WhistlePodu'
Taking to micro-blogging site, three-time winners wrote that when COVID played basketball in everyone's lives, few believed that this lovely little tour shall see light of day. Chennai-based franchise n gave a 'Big WhistlePodu' to BCCI and all those involved for making this year's mega-event possible against all odds.

Chennai in Dream11 IPL 2020
Chennai h a forgettable outing in this year's marquee tournament. Two of ir important players as well as veterans- Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh h backed out even before start of tournament citing personal reasons. Dhoni & Co. did man to win curtain-raiser against arch-rivals and eventual champions Mumbai but just could t carry on from ir own as y ran out of fire & brimstone.
eight-time finalists finished competition at seventh position with 12 points from 14 matches. At same time, this was also first time that MS Dhoni-led side h failed to make playoffs ever since inception of this league in 2008.

y kcked out 2014 finalists Punjab in ir last match of season and a couple of days later, one of ir premier veterans as well as hero of 2018 final Shane Watson bid ieu to franchise by anuncing his retirement from all forms of game.
