Officials from the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) and sources close to the player have shown ignorance about Sakariya's inclusion in the suspect list according to a report by Cricbuzz.
Sakariya, who joined the Delhi Capitals (DC) in 2022, has only made five appearances for the team before being dismissed. He has set a basic price of ₹50 lakh and would be offered for the franchises at the next 2024 IPL mini-auction. Six more players are being monitored for their bowling action: Rohan Kunnummal, Chirag Gandhi, Salman Nizar, Saurabh Dubey, and Arpit Guleria, in addition to the left-arm pacer.

Chetan Sakariya has also represented India and competed in IPL
Chetan Sakariya has played one ODI and two T20Is apart from it, during his strong tenure with the Rajasthan Royals (RR) during the 2021 IPL season, Chetan Sakariya gained recognition. At the Wankhede Stadium, the left-arm bowler made his debut with figures of 3-31. In 14 games, he claimed 14 wickets at an economy rate of 8.14.
Sakariya's performance resulted in a call-up to the senior national team. He traveled to Sri Lanka in 2021 as a member of the Indian second-string team for a white-ball series. Despite the squad being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the left-arm pacer managed to make three appearances for Team India.
He has also been a net bowler for the Indian team, most notably during the Australia 2022 T20 World Cup.
Sakariya last played in the 2023 Indian Premier League, however he is presently out due to a stress fracture in his back. The Saurashtra Cricket Association is optimistic that he would recuperate in time for the upcoming Ranji Trophy season despite missing two white-ball domestic competitions.
