Sachin Tendulkar's batting and the wait to see someone break his records are the two things which keeps cricket fans hooked. Often regarded as the 'God of Cricket' or the 'Numero Uno' of the game, Tendulkar's records are the testament to the player that he was in his playing days. Irrespective of talent, game awareness and skill, whenever a quality player walks out to the international arena, he is bound to be compared to the master blaster.

For a very long time, Virat Kohli was touted as somebody who could break Sachin Tendulkar's record for 100 tons. A lean patch of close to three years has hindered his chances and Kohli's opportunity to break Sachin Tendulkar's record looks in jeopardy. Just like Virat Kohli, his fab-4 partner Joe Root has always been in contention to break the record of Sachin Tendulkar's Test runs. recently, former England skipper Michael Vaughan came out and set a tough target for Root.
