The seventh edition of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) has been off to a great start so far. Within just three weeks into the tournament, the ongoing edition has already witnessed several 200+ team totals, two spectacular run-chases and one tied-affair. In what appears to be another mouth-watering contest, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots will face-off against bottom-placed St Lucia Zouks in match number 21 of this year’s CPL. It is a must-win game for the Zouks as Darren Sammy’s side cannot afford another defeat in the competition.

CPL 2019 story so far
With four wins in eight matches, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots are comfortably placed third on the points table. St Lucia Zouks, on the other hand, have had a torrid time in the tournament so far. The Darren Sammy-led side have managed to register only one win out of their six games, with their solitary win coming against Jamaica Tallawahs. Due to their five defeats, their net run-rate has also taken a major hit. To entertain any chances of qualifying for the playoffs, the St Lucia side needs to win all their remaining matches with emphatic margins and also have to hope other results go in their favour. Guyana Amazon Warriors with their unbeaten run continue to top the table while reigning champions Trinbago Knight Riders are placed second.

CPL: What to expect
The last time these two teams met was earlier in the tournament at the Warner Park Sporting Complex in Basseterre. Batting first, the team from St Lucia scored 138-9 in their 20 overs. The total, however, was no match for the Patriots strong batting line-up as the Carlos Brathwaite-led side won the game with more than five overs to spare. St Kitts & Nevis Patriots will be looking to repeat their September 15 performance in order to solidify themselves for the playoff race. Patriots skipper Carlos Brathwaite has been at his all-round best in the tournament so far which makes him one of the players to watch out for in the upcoming fixture.
