CPL to host two Women's T10 matches ahead of the Final in Trinidad
The CPL, the government of Trinidad and Tobago along with Cricket West Indies will host two invitational T10 matches featuring Caribbean's top women cricketers.

Caribbean Premier League (CPL), government of Trinid and Tobago along with Cricket West Indies (CWI) will host two invitational T10 matches comprising of top women cricketers from Caribbean on October 10 and 12. Brian Lara Cricket Acemy Stium in Trinid has been designated as venue. matches will be played in le up to CPL final, which is scheduled to be held on October 12 in Tarouba. CPL is flagship T20 league of West Indies, featuring 6 teams.

‘Sustainable women’s league’
West Indies women’s team does t have any international assignment until limited-overs series against India in vember. According to CWI, T10 series was an attempt to explore possibility of “a sustainable women's league in future". Batswoman Hayley Maws expressed her delight at prospect of series and called upon fans to witness matches.

While viewers in Trinid and Tobago would be able to watch live telecast on CNC3, Sportsmax brocasting would cater to rest of Caribbean. Moreover, matches will be live-streamed on YouTube.

Officials react
CEO of CWI, Johnny Grave, stated that one of ir top priorities was to improve opportunities for women in cricket.
He said, "Improving opportunities for women and girls to get involved in cricket is one of our top strategic priorities and we are delighted that CPL and government of Trinid and Tobago have come toger with us to ensure that women's cricket gets chance to be involved in Hero CPL for first time."

COO of CPL, Pete Russell observed that cricket fans would get to enjoy world-class cricket. He ded that T10 matches showcased commitment of making tournament more inclusive.
“CPL is always looking for ways to invate and give more chances for fans to enjoy world-class cricket. se T10 matches with best women’s cricketers from across Carribean are just latest example of our tournament pushing to be more inclusive and forward-thinking. We are delighted at providing this chance to players to take part in this event,” he opined.
