Pakistan women's team tour to India as a part of ICC Women's Championship is likely to be postponed as Indian board is yet to receive any government directive with regards to holding series in vember. As a part of championship, Indian women's team are set to host ir Pakistani counterparts in a three-match ODI series.

Given prevailing circumstances between two nations, Indian cricket board will wait for a government's directive as y have already informed matter much in advance.

BCCI tightlipped

"We are still waiting for an answer as Indian board has to host women's series by vember this year. It appears as if this series could also end up being cancelled as it doesn't appear India is willing to host Pakistan women's team," a PCB official alleged.

However, BCCI on its part maintains that y had sought approval for tour and y can do very little unless re is a green light from central government.

"We can only take matter forward once we hear from government. We all kw, a bilateral series against Pakistan is an issue that cant be unilaterally by BCCI. It will follow instructions from government," a senior BCCI official told PTI on conditions of anymity.

As per PCB sources, ICC has told m to "wait and watch" as window to host Pakistan women's team was between July and vember.

In case, India doesn't host Pakistan, PCB wants ICC to award m points for series. In that case, BCCI is almost certain to contest ir claims on grounds that organization is beyond ir control at moment. A couple of years back, BCCI had refused to send its women team to Pakistan due to valid security concerns which have been an issue with every cricket playing nation. However, its refusal to play Pakistan on a neutral venue led to m being docked points.
