Cricket: Rashid Latif compares Sourav Ganguly to freedom fighters
Sourav Ganguly is all set to become next president of BCCI. Rashid Latif praised ex-Indian skipper by comparing him with Bengal leaders and freedom fighters.

Former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly is all set to become next president of BCCI. While speaking with ANI, present interim chief of governing body, CK Khanna said, “It is a matter of great pride that former India captain Sourav Ganguly is w set to le as president of BCCI with his vast experience as a cricketer and as former India captain."

113-Test veteran is currently member of Cricket visory Committee (CAC) and is president of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). Ever since news broke that former Indian skipper will take be taking over as next president of BCCI, entire cricketing fraternity has congratulated Sourav Ganguly.

Ex-Pakistan captain Rashid Latif compares Ganguly with Bengal leers
Rashid Latif also went onto compare Ganguly with Bengal leers and freedom fighters. He said that Ganguly belongs to Bengal, a land which has given a lot of leers. He opined that due to Ganguly’s experience of handling an ministration like CAB, 2003 World Cup-runners up captain would man BCCI successfully.
Sourav Ganguly anunced his international retirement in 2008 after representing India in 113 Tests and 311 ODI’s. left-handed batsman scored 7,212 runs in red-ball cricket and 11,363 runs in limited-overs format.
