KL Rahul scored a brilliant century in the first India vs South Africa Test at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. Rahul's fighting century propelled India's score to 245 runs, which seemed a distant dream after the falls of 6 wickets. Rahul's century came in 133 balls and consisted of 14 fours and four sixes. His innings came to end at a score of 101.

IND vs SA: KL Rahul lauded for brilliant ton against South Africa in Centurion
KL Rahul was instrumental in India reaching a total above 200 as he saw wickets falling in heaps on the other end. The second-highest score for India in the first innings was of Virat Kohli, who hit only 38 runs. Rahul came in after Shreyas Iyer's wicket and with India at 92/4 and stuck important partnerships with Shardul Thakur and Kohli while batting with tailenders for majority of the innings. Rahul's knock came from 137 balls and he struck 14 fours and four sixes, adding 31 runs to his overnight 70 not out.
India added 37 runs from 8.4 overs in the morning session. The visitors faced 67.4 overs in their first innings.
For South Africa, Gerald Coetzee and Nandre Burger took a wicket apiece on Wednesday.
Kagiso Rabada had completed a five-wicket haul on the opening day on Tuesday.
