'It's Been a Great Journey': CSK Legend Announces Retirement from All Forms of Cricket

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) legend Dwayne Bravo, one of cricket’s most vibrant personalities and a pioneer of T20 cricket, has announced his retirement from all forms of the game. The 40-year-old Trinidadian all-rounder took to Instagram to share the news, revealing that the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) season will be his final bow on the professional cricket stage.

Dwayne Bravo announces retirement from all forms of cricket

Bravo, who has been a cornerstone of the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) franchise, expressed his gratitude and excitement as he looks forward to concluding his storied career in front of his home fans. "It’s been a great journey," Bravo wrote. "Today I would like to announce my retirement from @cplt20. This season will be my last one and I’m looking forward to playing my final professional tournament in front of my Caribbean ppl! @tkriders - where it all started for me and will end with my team that I help built from scratch!"

Bravo's career has been nothing short of extraordinary. Known for his charismatic flair both on and off the field, he has been a true ambassador of the game, especially in the shortest format. Starting his professional journey with the West Indies in 2004, Dwayne Bravo quickly made a name for himself as a versatile all-rounder, capable of changing the course of a match with both bat and ball.

However, it was in the T20 format where Bravo truly excelled and cemented his legacy. Bravo’s association with the Trinbago Knight Riders has been particularly special. He has led the team to multiple CPL titles, helping transform the franchise into a dominant force in the league.
