Rohit Sharma on Rishabh Pant

During the press conference, Sharma said that Rishabh Pant has embraced the T20 format and that this format gave garnered him more attention.  "This is the format Pant started with and it also got him the spectator's attention," said Rohit Sharma. In addition, Sharma also said that Pant's record has been well and that he can take the game forward. However, he also said that Pant needs more backing during the game.  "We have to stick with him for a while and see how he performs and what he does. He can take the game forward if he has his day. We just need to back him more," added Sharma. Moreover, Sharma said that it would be too soon to judge Rishabh Pant as the wicket-keeper has not made many appearances. Sharma said that there is enough time before a judgment can be ruled out over his performance.  "He has hardly played 10 to 15 T20s, so it would be too soon to judge Rishabh Pant whether he is good or not. There's enough time before we pass over judgement on Rishabh Pant," the Captain said.
