Dean Jones urged the Pakistan cricket fans to give priority to winning rather than focussing on Babar Azam after their defeat against England in the 1st Test

Dean Jones has said that Pakistani fans should give more priority to winning rar than focusing too much on ir batting sensation Babar Azam. Babar on or hand had both a memorable as well as a forgettable experience in first Test match against England at Old Trafford, Manchester. He played a stellar kck of 69 in first innings and helped Pakistan st a comeback after y had lost a couple of early wickets. Azam and opener Shan Masood rebuilt innings with a 96-run stand for third wicket in overcast conditions where y hit star English bowlers James Anderson, Stuart Broad, and, Jofra Archer to all parts of ground.

However, he was sent back to pavilion with just five runs to his name in second innings.

Taking to micro-blogging site, 1987 World Cup winner mentioned that he had a mess for Pakistani fans and n wrote it is always great when Babar Azam scores runs but Pakistani limited-overs skipper himself will say that 'winning is priority'.

It was always going to be a challenge for England as y had to see of new ball which provides a lot of assistance to seamers upfront in those overcast conditions which y did to some extent.

neless, English side kept on losing wickets at regular intervals even though a few of batsmen were keeping scoreboard ticking. At 117/5, it seemed that it was all over for English side but Jos Buttler and Chris Woakes had or ideas as y made a stellar contribution lower down order. duo added 139 runs for sixth-wicket stand and brought England on verge of a famous win.

Unfortunately, Buttler was trapped plumb in front of wicket for an outstanding 75 that included seven boundaries and a maximum. Even though home side lost wicket of Stuart Broad as well, Woakes ensured that re were furr hiccups and helped England cross finish line by three wickets.
