Deepak Chahar, Manish Pandey star in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy wins
Deepak Chahar picked up another hat-trick vs Vidarbha while Manish Pandey starred for Karnataka vs Services with a ton on Tuesday in the Syed Mushtaq Trophy.

Deepak Chahar is certainly enjoying the time of his life. The Rajasthan pacer picked up his second T20 hat-trick in 3 days after he picked one in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Rajasthan against Vidarbha. Chahar also picked up a hat-trick against Bangladesh in the third T20I on Sunday.

Rajasthan took on Vidarbha in the Group B Round 4 game of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019-20. Rajasthan were boosted by the comebacks of Rahul Chahar, Khaleel Ahmed and Deepak Chahar, who were part of India’s squad for the T20I series against Bangladesh. Vidarbha were 43/1 in 7 overs when rain halted the play, as a result of which the match was reduced to 13 overs per side. Chahar, fresh from his hat-trick against Bangladesh decided to repeat the feat, as he picked up 4 wickets in his final over reducing Vidarbha to 99/9 from their quota of 13 overs.

Manish Pandey scores an unbeaten 129
However, Vidarbha managed to pull off a 1-run win on VJD method over Rajasthan as the match was reduced to 13 overs. Earlier in the day, Manish Pandey, who was also part of the India-Bangladesh T20I series, scored an unbeaten 129 off 54 balls to guide Karnataka to a mammoth 80-run victory over Services. Services could only muster 170/7 in response to Karnataka’s 250/3. Opener Devdutt Padikkal also starred with a 43-ball 75. It was Karnataka's first win after their 15-match T20 winning streak ended in their previous defeat against Baroda. Another IPL star, Suryakumar Yadav, the Mumbai captain also shined with a 43-ball 57 as his side defeated Pondicherry by 27 runs at the Wankhede Stadium despite Sagar Trivedi, the opposition bowler picking up 4 massive Mumbai wickets in his spell. These included Yadav, Shivam Dube, Shreyas Iyer and Siddhesh Lad.
