Deepak Chahar takes it to another level; bags yet another hat-trick

It seems like there is no stopping to the excellence of Deepak Chahar as the pacer bagged his second hat-trick in three days, this time for Rajasthan against Vidarbha in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. The on-going match is being played at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.

Bowling first after losing the loss, the Rajasthan side rattled Vidharbha by restricting them to a below-par score of 99. Star pacer of the moment Deepak Chahar took four wickets following Aniket Choudhary, captain Mahipal Lomror, Khaleel Ahmed, Chandrapal Singh taking one-wicket each. Chahar's hat-trick included the wickets of Darshan Nalkande, Shrikant Wagh, and Akshay Wadkar, all of which came off the final three balls in the 13th over. Deepak finished with figures of 4 for 18 in 3 overs including a maiden over.

Just days earlier Deepak Chahar set a new world record by becoming the first Indian to bag a hat-trick in T20Is and returning with best ever bowling by any cricketer in the format's history with a six-wicket haul for just 7 runs in 3.2 overs. Chahar was easily the man of the match as India won the 3rd and final T20 match against Bangladesh by 30 runs and the series 2-1.

Chahar in the Bangladesh series 

With lots of variations slow leg cutters, yorkers, faster ones, and outswingers, Chahar foxed and bamboozled the Bangladeshi well-set batsmen to clinch the match and the series. Chahar was also the highest wicket-taker of the series with 8 wickets and was quite economical throughout the series. Chahar was impressive with his bowling in West Indies series as well with his pace, tight line and variations. India has well and truly found its strike bowler for the next year's World Cup T20 in Australia.
