When asked, "Who do you see in the places of Rohit and Kohli in the next T20 World Cup?" Dinesh Karthik identified four promising cricketers who could step into the shoes of the iconic duo. He also emphasized the inclusion of a young star who has already made waves in the T20 format.

“First of all, they (Rohit and Kohli) are very hard to replace, but in the XI, I do think there are four choices at the moment. There’s Ruturaj Gaikwad, Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, and Shubman Gill,” Karthik stated. His picks highlight a mix of talent that has shown potential in domestic circuits and international outings.

Dinesh Karthik was particularly confident about Yashasvi Jaiswal’s place in the team. “I think Yashasvi Jaiswal will definitely be starting in the XI in T20I cricket,” he added. Jaiswal, known for his explosive batting and remarkable consistency, has already established himself as a key player for India and is poised to be a cornerstone of the team’s future.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, with his impressive performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and domestic cricket, has demonstrated the ability to anchor innings and play aggressive strokes when needed. Abhishek Sharma, another IPL standout, brings versatility with his all-round capabilities, making him a valuable asset in T20 cricket.

Tilak Varma, a rising star, has shown glimpses of brilliance with his mature batting and composure under pressure. His inclusion would add depth to the middle order. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill, already a mainstay in the Indian Test and ODI teams, possesses the technique and temperament to excel in the shortest format as well.
