'Doesn't really cut': Ex-cricketer slams Team India's experiment during ODI series vs WI
The Indian cricket team faced a disappointing loss against West Indies in the second ODI by six wickets played at the Kensington Oval ground in Barbados.

The Indian cricket team, being favourites to win the second ODI against West Indies, faced a disappointing loss by six wickets. The Indian batting lineup faced a massive batting collapse and from being 90/0, the team slumped down to 181 and lost all ntheir wickets. The team, which missed the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, failed to live up to expectations, and no other batter other than Ishan Kishan was able to impress with the bat.

Aakash Chopra questions Indian team management for resting Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma

Former Indian cricket team opener Aakash Chopra has questioned the Indian team management for resting Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Chopra was not pleased with the team management and said that Rohit Sharma and Co were overly dismissive of the visitors. The former opener said on his YouTube channel:

You might be wondering why Rohit and Kohli weren't there. Was it because the opposition team collapsed in the last match? The West Indies looked extremely ordinary while batting first, so India thought they won't play their main players, let's experiment a little more. Could that have been the reason?
Aakash Chopra added:
If that was the reason, even you could have got out in one match, that your team gets bowled out for 150, like you made 181 now. So should West Indies ask Shai Hope to rest as this Indian team is very weak? That doesn't really cut it in my opinion because the World Cup is not too far.

The Indian cricket squad experimented extensively during the initial ODI of the WI vs IND 2023 series. Skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli came to bat down the order while also giving youngsters an opportunity to bat up the order. Sanju Samson was given an opportunity after his omission from the first ODI sparked outrage, but he also fell short of expectations.
