Its a throwback day for India's star opener, Rohit Sharma as it was on November 13, 2014, when the Hitman registered the highest individual ODI score. The match that took place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata witnessed the sheer excellence displayed by the class batsman. Scoring a mammoth 264, Rohit's knock to date remains the highest score by any batsman in the 50-over format. His incredible performance helped India put up a massive 404 runs on the scoreboard.

The fourth ODI that took place between India and Srilanka back in 2014, saw Rohit's blistering knock that comprised of 33 fours and nine sixes. Srilanka, in what can be termed as the most expensive drop, missed a chance to dismiss Rohit when the player was batting at 4 runs. The individual score of 200 has been scored by batsmen just eight times in ODIs with  Rohit registering a double century in ODIs two times. He scored 264 against Sri Lanka in 2014 and he also registered 208 runs against Australia in 2017.

Taking to Twitter, fans of the class player expressed their utmost delight as they remembered the knock. While some termed the player to be a 'blessing' for the team, others stated the drop by Srilanka to be the most expensive in history.

Rohit also led India to a 2-1 series victory over Bangladesh in the three-match T20I series on Sunday. He went onto play a knock of 85 runs in the second match of the series to guide the Men in Blue to an emphatic eight-wicket win.
