Kolkata: BCCI introduces offers & low ticket pricing for 1st D/N Test

India's first-ever Day-Night Test against Banglesh is expected to begin at least an hour early than usual 2.30 pm start, Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) secretary Avishek Dalmiya said in Kolkata on Tuesday, October 29. CAB is also trying its best to make it a full house in 68,000-capacity stium on all five days by offering a daily ticket starting as low as Rs 50.

Less than a week after becoming BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly-led board on Tuesday me its biggest anuncement where India and Banglesh mutually agreed to play ir first-ever Day-Night Test at Eden Gardens from vember 22 to 26, second game of a two-match series. Hosts CAB said y would seek BCCI's clearance for a 1 pm or 1.30 pm start keeping in mind of dew factor and spectators' convenience.

'Ticket deminations will be of Rs 50, 100, 150'
"One can expect an early start than usual day/night encounters. It will t be a 2.30 pm start. 1.30 pm start would mean match would get over by 8.30 pm and spectators will return home early", CAB secretary Avishek Dalmiya told PTI. A final clearance will come from BCCI in consultation with brocasters. "We will send tickets for printing as we get timing confirmation from BCCI and brocasters. We are planning to bring in school children from districts and local schools and we don't want any inconvenience. "Ticket deminations will be of Rs 50, 100, 150 on a daily basis. We will try our best to pull in as many crowds as possible. We hope it will be a success", Dalmiya ded. Unlike tritional Tests, in Day-Night Test, first break will be of a tea break of 20 minutes followed by a supper break of 40 minutes which would mean one-and-half session will be played under lights.
