Eden Gardens Stand To Be Named After Former India Pacer Jhulan Goswami
Team India pacer Jhulan Goswami will be receiving a huge honour at one of India's most iconic cricket-playing venues, Eden Gardens. Cricket Association of Bengal have officially announced that Indian bowling icon will soon have a stand named after her at Kolkata Stium.

As per CAB, stand that will be named after Jhulan Goswami will be officially unveiled when Team India plays an international match-up in venue. Indian Cricket Team will compete against England at Eden Gardens on January 22nd, 2025, in a T20I match, and stand will be unveiled at that time. Reports also ded that Block B gallery will be named after former Team India women's team skipper. honour is immense, as she would be first female cricketer to be honoured at stium. She has record for most wickets in women's ODI cricket with 255 dismissals and crossed 300 International wickets in 2018. For Team India, she has featured in 12 Tests, 204 ODIs and 68 T20Is. She is also only bowler with 200+ wickets in women's ODIs. Even after her retirement, Jhulan's outstanding record is still reflected in her remarkable career.
41-year-old cricketer is currently mentor and bowling coach for Mumbai Indians , who won inaugural season of Women's Premier League [WPL]. She is also mentor for Bengal senior women's side and has recently joined Women's Caribbean Premier League franchise Trinbago Knight Riders as team's mentor.
