Harbhajan Singh makes a huge statement on the exclusion of Yuzvendra Chahal
Former Indian cricket spinner Harbhajan Singh has voiced his displeasure with the decision not to include Yuzvendra Chahal in the side that will play Australia in the One-Day International series and compete in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 which starts on October 5, 2023. India went with a spin three of Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja in these picks. Ravichandran Ashwin entered the squad for the Australia ODIs, while Washington Sundar was added to the roster for the Asia Cup 2023 squad because of an injury to Axar.
The decision to pass over Chahal surprised Harbhajan Singh, which has sparked speculation about whether or not a disagreement or altercation may have impacted Chahal's selection prospects. Talking on his official YouTube channel, he said:

"Yuzvendra Chahal should have been here. He has not been given an opportunity. It is beyond my understanding. Either he has fought with someone or he has said something to someone, I don't know. If we talk only about skill, his name should have been there in this team because a lot of Team India players are resting,"
Bhajji believes that R Ashwin and Washington Sundar were not in the plans
According to Harbhajan Singh, the original plan of BCCI did not include Washington Sundar or Ravichandran Ashwin and that is why they were not part of the initially announced World Cup squad. Their addition after Axar Patel's injury indicates that the team's administration is considering adding an off-spinner to the roster.

First Washington Sundar, who wasn't in the original Asia Cup squad, was called there. After that, a second player has been added for this series and that is R Ashwin. So somewhere or the other Team India are searching for off-spinners. They have probably realized their mistake that they haven't picked an off-spinner in the team and that our bowlers can get into trouble if a lot of left-handers come in front of them. Why unnecessarily go through all this? It is beyond my understanding or they are going to make another mistake to rectify their earlier mistake,
