ENG vs WI 2nd Test: The English summer is back after the culmination of the T20 World Cup and it has brought out the best cricketing action, atleast from the English team. Ben Stokes and his ruthless English team, ruthless in their home conditions recently scripted history in Test cricket by scoring the fastest-ever team fifty, in just 26 balls. West Indies have been on the receiving end of this Test series so far and they need to bounce back to avoid series defeat

Mark Wood And His Display Of Furious Pace

England Test team always operates in two halves. On one hand they had someone like a James Anderson who was not that big on pace, but his skills, line and lengths made him the bowler that he was. On the other hand there is someone like Mark Wood who is synonymous to raw pace and some serious fast bowling. Anderson bid goodbye to the English Test team after the first Test match of the ongoing series. The English stalwart finished with 704 Test wickets from 188 Test matches, a feat that will be hard to replicate.

After Anderson retired, he was replaced by English pacer Mark Wood in the second Test match and he has already started showing what he does the best, bowl ferociously. During the 14th over of the ongoing ENG vs WI 2nd Test match, Wood bowled a ferocious delivery of 97.1mph aimed at Caribbean batsman Mikyle Louis' head.

The Ruthless English Test Cricket Team

England suffered a shocking and humiliating Ashes defeat in the fall of 2021. Many considered it as the death of England's red ball cricket. A 4-0 result against Australia down under was nothing but humiliating for England. But little did anybody know that everything was about to change for the English Test team in 2023. With Ben Stokes taking over as the Test team captain and Brendon McCullum as the man in-charge for the Test team, England revolutionized how the purest format of the gams is perceived.
