Although England seem comfortable chasing the meagre total of 56 runs, they have had a few hiccups along the way. Moeen Ali is the latest batter to be dismissed after he was run out by Evin Lewis and Obed McCoy.

England batter Jonny Bairstow has been dismissed by Akeal Hosein for 9 off 6 balls. Bairstow scored two boundaries before he was sent back to the pavilion by Hosein. Moeen Ali now joins Jos Buttler in the middle. 

England opener Jason Roy has been dismissed for 11 runs by West Indies bowler Ravi Rampaul. As Roy tried to take advantage of Rampaul's pace, he ended up flipping the ball straight to mid-wicket, where Chris Gayle took his catch. Jonny Bairstow has now joined Jos Buttler in the middle.  

England cricketers Kate Cross and Keaton Jennings were spotted at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, where England and the West Indies are playing their opening match of the ICC T20 World Cup. 

Jason Roy and Jos Buttler have opened the innings for England after a break following West Indies' debacle. Both batters are looking good at the moment with Buttler hitting a boundary off Akeal Hosein's bowling. The first over of the second innings ended with 5 runs on the board.  

West Indies' T20 World Cup-winning captain Daren Sammy expressed shock on social media following the Kieron Pollard-led side's abysmal performance with the bat against England. 

Tymal Mills was happy with England's bowling performance as after the first innings he said, "Been a long time (away from international cricket). Great few weeks. Great training. We were confident. Feels nice to take wickets. It was tough wearing the back brace and stuff. Just got to take it day by day. I had a really good English summer, Sussex, The Hundred and I was really confident in my body which is the main thing. I think the pitch is okay, we have bowled really well. We were relentless and outstanding, aggressive with the fields. If he (Moeen) takes wickets he is the sort of bowler you would want to keep the ball in his hands."

Adil Rashid was on fire against West Indies as he picked up four wickets. Moeen Ali and Tymal Mills ended with 2 wickets each while Chris Jordan and Chris Woakes picked up one each.

With West Indies dismissed for just 55 runs, they recorded their second-lowest T20I total. Their four lowest T20I totals are mentioned below, with interestingly three of them coming against England in their last three T20Is against them.

West Indies are dismissed for just 55 runs, giving England a target of 56 runs to chase in the 20 overs.

Adil Rashid almost completed his hattrick as Ravi Rampaul was beaten on the outside edge.

West Indies lose nine wickets with Adil Rashid dismissing both Kieron Pollard and Obed McCoy in the span of two deliveries.

A returning Andre Russell could not trouble the scoreline as he was dismissed for a duck by Adil Rashid. At the end of 10.1 overs, West Indies are 44/7.

England bowlers continue to get the better of the West Indies batters as the sixth person is dismissed. Nicholas Pooran is the latest man to get out as Tymal Mills picked up the wicket.

West Indies are having a miserable day at the Dubai International Stadium as they have lost 5 wickets in the first eight overs. The latest to be dismissed is Dwayne Bravo. Chris Jordan picked up the wicket to claim his first of the night.

The trouble continues to increase for West Indies as they have lost four wickets in the span of just six overs. Evin Lewis, Lendl Simmons, Shimron Hetmyer and now Chris Gayle have all returned to the pavilion. Dwayne Bravo and Nicholas Pooran are currently at the crease.

West Indies lost three key wickets in quick time as both openers and Shimron Hetmyer have returned to the pavilion in less than five overs. Moeen Ali picked up another wicket as he dismissed Hetmyer with England captain Eoin Morgan taking the catch. Dwayne Bravo is the new man in.

England are on fire as they picked two quick wickets to cause West Indies some serious problems. First, Chris Woakes got rid of Evin Lewis and now Moeen Ali dismisses Lendl Simmons. West Indies are 9/2 after 3 overs but danger man Chris Gayle is yet at the crease.

Evin Lewis was dismissed by Chris Woakes for just six runs off five deliveries as Moeen Ali took a running catch to complete the dismissal.

Moeen Ali was smacked for a six down the ground on the last ball of his over. Before he had just conceded 1 run from 5 deliveries.

During the toss, Kieron Pollard said, "Not really a blow. Toss is 50-50. We would have bowled. Russell is fit. First World Cup for Pooran, McCoy. With the combination of our team, we do not depend on Russell bowling 4 overs every game. Chris Gayle, a legend for us. Looking forward to what we can do as a team more than as individuals."

Winning the toss, Eoin Morgan said, "We will bowl first. Short side one side. Missing out are Billings, Willey, Curran, Wood. Tymal Mills is playing. We get balance with Liam and Moeen, so gives us three seamers too."
