England's women cricketers will be at par with the men's cricketers in terms of match fees, the English Cricket Board has announced.

England's women cricketers will be at par with men's cricketers in terms of match fees, English Cricket Board has anunced. ECB will increase match fees to restore parity between both sets of players. England will be fourth country after New Zealand, India and South Africa to implement this move.

England Women's players to get equal match fees

A recommendation has been me by Independent Commission for Equity in Cricket to bring in a sea of changes in women's cricket and increase will take place imminently starting from T20I series against Sri Lanka. brilliant success of recently held Ashes series is also one of reasons behind this resounding step.

Richard Gould, ECB's chief executive officer, released a statement.

"This summer's thrilling Metro Bank Women's Ashes series demonstrated how women's cricket is continuing to grow at pace in this country, with record attendances and TV viewing. Growing women's and girls' game is a key priority for us, and in recent years we have considerably increased investment both in building a domestic women's structure to produce players of future, and in increasing player rewards.

English and Wales Cricket Board in a statement said:

"In years ahe, we will continue to invest ahe of revenues. We are currently considering all recommendations me by Independent Commission for Equity in Cricket, but equalising match fees is one immediate step we are pleased to make w. We all want cricket to be team sport of choice for female athletes, and with investments we are making - and increasingly lucrative opportunities around world - we are seeing cricketers become some of highest earning female athletes in UK team sports. However, we kw re is still much furr to go as we ultimately strive for equality across game.
