'Every Win Counts': Yashasvi Jaiswal Advocates Domestic Cricket as Key to India's WTC Aspirations

The Duleep Trophy tournament is up in action as some of India's top players compete in red-ball action. The cricketers are keeping their cases for the upcoming Bangladesh series since the selections for the squad will be based on their performance in the domestic tournament. One of Team India's young red-ball star, Yashasvi Jaiswal, is trying to keep himself in the mix for the upcoming Test series, but he also shared his admiration for India's domestic tournaments.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Emphasizes the Crucial Role of Domestic Cricket in India's Quest for WTC Glory

While speaking to JioCinema, India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal expressed that he sees domestic tournaments like the Ranji and Duleep Trophy as a great opportunity to showcase their talent. He added that any opportunity to represent the Men in Blue is nothing less than a privilege and representing the nation is his biggest motivation.

"It's a great opportunity whenever we have the chance to play the Duleep or Ranji Trophy. I'm really looking forward to that, and I hope I'll enjoy my game. I'll try my best.

"Every match is important because of the World Test Championship. You have to make sure you give your best as every win counts. Any opportunity to play for India is incredible, and representing the country is the biggest motivation that I have," Yashasvi Jaiswal said

Yashasvi Jaiswal is featuring for Team India D side and was an opening batter in the D side when they batted against India C. He scored a 59-ball 30, which included six boundaries before being caught and bowled by C side's Khaleel Ahmed. India D delivered productive numbers in batting as they scored 321 in 116 overs before being bowled out.

The India opener's performance will be vital for the upcoming red-ball challenges as the Men in Blue will be donning the whites and compete in Test Cricket action. Team India will be returning to Test cricket with the Bangladesh series, which will lead them to the Border Gavaskar Trophy down under.
