Ex-Pakistan captain who was the 1st unsold player in IPL history & its NOT Misbah-ul-Haq

first player to go unsold in history of IPL was former Pakistan captain Mohamm Yousuf. 45-year-old didn't attract attention from any of eight franchises and was left without a bidder. Mohamm Yousuf h reached  fag end of his career and his base price was set at USD $350,000 which seemed a little high, more so when franchises were aware of fact that he h not featured in 2007 T20 World Cup for Pakistan eir.

Moreover, T20 format demands  exuberance of youth and also ability to score runs quickly which is something Mohamm Yousuf lacked. In fact, Mohamm Yousuf went unsold once again in second round of auction. only or Pakistani player besides Mohamm Yousuf who failed to attract buyers was Yasir Hameed.

On contrary, Mohamm Yousuf's Pakistan teammates Shoaib Akhtar, Salman Butt and Umar Gul (Kolkata Knight Riders), Mohamm Asif and Shoaib Malik (Delhi Daredevils), Shahid Afridi (Deccan Chargers), Younis Khan, Kamran Akmal and Sohail Tanvir (Rajasthan Royals) and Misbah-ul-Haq (Royal Challengers Bangalore) were ones sold at IPL 2008 auction.

IPL 2008 was only season when Pakistan players were associated with IPL. reafter, Pakistani players could never play in IPL again because of unstable political relations between India and Pakistan, due to which y were banned from playing in league.

Ever since IPL 2020 was indefinitely postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic, fans started wondering 'When will IPL 2020 start?
