CPL 2024: St Lucia Kings clinched ir maiden CPL title and Faf du Plessis was over moon following win. captain of CPL franchise may have taken a leaf out of Rohit Sharma 's book as that was pretty evident during celebration.

Following win, Faf recreated Rohit's iconic slow-motion walk from 2024 T20 World Cup trophy celebrations. St Lucia Kings beat Guyana Amazon Warriors by six wickets on Sunday to clinch prestigious title.

Asked to bat first, Warriors managed to post 138 for eight in 20 overs. Eventually, that was not good enough for Kings, who went over line with 11 balls to spare. Roston Chase, who picked up a crucial wicket and n scored 39* off 22 balls, was player of match. 

‘Think 10 or 15 years y have been waiting’

"Happy for guys, y have been here (Sammy and Co.) for a long time. Think 10 or 15 years y have been waiting for trophy to come home. Very happy with bowling effort. At toss I wasn't quite sure what to do and I felt like when y posted 138, when we walked off we were positive. I think in both innings, last 2-3 overs really me difference," Faf said after win.
