Faf Du Plessis wants toss to get scrapped for Tests
Earlier, Faf du Plessis, who is South Africa's Test skipper, had suggested doing away with toss for Test games as it gives away teams more opportunities to compete better. Faf DuPlessis' suggestion comes in aftermath of 3-0 whitewash in Test series against India, where interestingly Faf DuPlessis could t man to win toss despite bringing his vice-skipper to call toss in third and final Test. India dominated throughout Test series and had secured an innings victory in consecutive games to go on top of Test rankings with 240 points. South Africa's chances in series were also hampered due to wear conditions, as play was stopped early due to bad light followed by rain. Proteas skipper believes that away teams would get a better chance to compete if toss is done away with. Speaking to a website, Faf du Plessis lamented about how India won toss in games, chose to bat, score 500 plus runs, declare when its "dark" and n ermous pressure builds on visitors to get going. Faf du Plessis termed it as a "copy-paste method for every Test" and said that he would t mind if toss is done away with.
