Former PAK Cricketer Claims Hindu Minorities Are UNSAFE In Pakistan
Ahead of the Champions Trophy in 2025, former Pakistan Cricketer has made a big claim that Hindu Minorities are not safe in the country.
There's an ever increasing rift between the BCCI and PCB as Indian Cricket Team is unlikely travel to Pakistan to play the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025. Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria has further added fuel to the fire and backed India to not play the Champions Trophy in Pakistan and instead play on a hybrid model.
Talking about why India should not go to play in Pakistan Danish Kaneria cited security reasons and made a big claim that minorities in Pakistan including Hindus are not safe.
Danish Kaneria claims minorities in Pakistan are not safe
Former PAK cricketer Danish Kaneria in an exclusive chat with republicworld claimed that Hindu minorities are not safe in Pakistan at all.
When talking about why India should not travel to Pakistan , his biggest concern came outside of cricket.
“There's a reason behind it. If you see the current situation of Pakistan okay there is a security concern but the most important thing is that is about the minorities in Pakistan,” revealed Danish Kaneria.
Danish Kaneria further said that the way Hindus were treated in Pakistan and were forced to convert was not ideal at all.
“How they're being treated, how Hindus are being made to convert. Keeping all that stuff in mind, I know cricket is a separate thing but when everything comes together there is a question mark right? Sometimes there are problems going on here or there for Pakistan . So it's a very hard risk for the Indian Cricket Team to travel to Pakistan,” said Danish Kaneria in his interview.
Danish Kaneria calls for Hybrid Model in Champions Trophy
Danish Kaneria further spoke out on the chances of Team India travelling to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy . The former spinner cited that the security concerns in Pakistan are still at large and were his sole concern for India's travel. He boldly affirmed that India will
“We saw the Sri Lankan Team travelled to Pakistan and after that what happened with them. The international cricket in Pakistan went away. So, thinking about that, the situation of Pakistan right now and the concerns which the Indian team have over in Pakistan, travelling to Pakistan there is a concern so it's not great taking a risk and travelling to Pakistan that's my only concern,” further added Kaneria.
As things stand it is increasingly likely that India will not be travelling to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy and will play their games away on a neutral venue.
