‘Keep Politics Away From Cricket’: Ex-PAK Star’s Daring Stance on India Being Doubtful for CT 2025

The Champions Trophy is set to be the next big ICC event which will take place in Pakistan . 2025 is expected to be huge for Pakistan as they host the coveted tournament in the region. But Team India's uncertainty over their participation has been a concerning factor. It's obvious that the Rohit-Kohli fandom is unparalleled in PAK and not having Team India in the tournament could be a big blow for the ICC. Amid the chatter, a former PAK cricketer has spoken out on the scenario, and he wants the intervention of the former players to solver the dilemma.

Veteran PAK Star Wants Ex-IND Cricketers to Interact With BCCI Over Team India’s Participation at Champions Trophy 2025

Amid the debate over India's uncertainty about travelling to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy , Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Moin Khan has urged former Indian Cricketers like Sourav Ganguly , Rahul Dravid, Kapil Dev, Rahul Dravid & More to intervene and advise the BCCI to not restrict Team India and allow them to travel to Pakistan for the ICC tournament and keep politics off limits in sports. He also said that if India doesn't travel to Pakistan, the PCB must reconsider sending the teams to such events when India will be the hosts.

"Former India cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly , Kapil Dev, Rahul Dravid, etc., should tell their cricket board to keep politics away from cricket. Cricket should not be obstructed by political issues. The fans would love to see India and Pakistan play. It will not only benefit Pakistan but overall, cricket will be benefited.

"India ought to honour their commitments with the ICC. And if they do not come, then Pakistan should reconsider their decision to participate in any future events slated to be held in India," Moin said to Cricket Pakistan .

The Pakistan Cricket Board have already submitted the draft schedule for the tournament to the ICC. Moreover, top ICC Executive Geoff Allardice has affirmed that there are no plans to change the location of the Champions Trophy , and it will take place in Pakistan. But with BCCI Secretary Jay Shah soon to take over as the ICC Chairman, it is yet to be seen what happens next.
