Gautam Gambhir's Childhood Coach Narrates Interesting Tale
India Head Coach Gautam Gambhir has always been somebody who wears his heart on his sleeves and never restrains himself from expressing his opinions. The former Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) mentor has now been appointed as the Head Coach of Team India with 5 ICC Trophies to play in the next three years.
Gautam Gambhir's childhood coach Sanjay Bharadwaj while speaking to PTI opened up on Gautam Gambhir's observation skills and why he is the right fit to look after Indian cricket. Gambhir's childhood coach Bharadwaj also revealed an interesting prediction made by his student on Rohit Sharma which became a reality.
Gambhir's Childhood Coach Said:
Gautam has played with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Gautam had given away his Man of the Match to Virat Kohli when he was just starting. When you give away your award to a young player and promote him, that speaks volumes. Gautam had told me way before, you just wait and watch Rohit Sharma's statistics and how big a player he becomes. Rohit wasn't performing that well when Gautam predicted this. Gautam has great observation skills and of course we all know where Rohit is today.
The Start Of The Gambhir Era
Rahul Dravid has left Indian Cricket at a better place as compared to where he started. Dravid along with Rohit Sharma finally delivered a World Cup for India and left on a high. The Indian team is currently under a transitional phase and Gautam Gambhir will have his work cut out. Gambhir has to see through a tough period where the stakes will be high for the Indian Team with 5 ICC trophies to win in 3 years.
